CLAIRE EGLINTON
Chairman, Newsletter, Webmaster.
Joined committee mid-term 2006. Enjoys writing our quarterly newsletter and taught herself enough to design this website though 'webmaster' is a very tongue-in-cheek title. Delegate to U3A South Australia (the State network) and U3A Online, State secretary and State delegate to U3A Alliance Australia (the national network) and national bulletin editor. Mastered computing through teaching but continues to show remarkable lack of talent in French.
IAN FOSTER
Vice President
Elected at 2017 AGM. A retired engineer, Ian is a newcomer to Clare. He arrived with a high regard for U3A as his late mother was a member of U3A Noarlunga.
BONNIE (Bronwyn) STANLEY
Secretary.
Appointed mid-term 2021. Bonnie joined U3A when she first arrived in Clare. Formerly a registered nurse Bonnie went on to a varied career including project and people management which involved travelling extensively though Australia and many parts of the world. When not off 4 wheel driving with husband Ian, Bonnie enjoys gardening, cooking, mosaics and most forms of music. Bonnie has enrolled in Music Appreciation and Petanque.
PETER WOOD
Treasurer.
Appointed at 2013 AGM. Peter is an active and invaluable member of many local organisations including the Riesling Trail and the Clare Valley Business and Tourism Association. Group Leader of U3A Bridge and member Current Affairs and Book Group 2. 2019 Clare Citizen of the Year.
KATHERINE STODDART
Course Coordinator.
Elected at 2022 AGM. Former schoolteacher, Katherine jumped in at the deep end, immediately becoming an office holder plus starting a U3A Lunch group, Cards for Fun and yet another Mahjong group. Interests include the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Katherine has also enrolled in Coffee and Chat, Exercise 1, and Cryptic Crosswords.
KATH LOCK
Elected at 2017 AGM. Retired schoolteacher, former children’s author and current resident of Riverton, Kath has been a long-term member of the U3A French class. Her attendance is punctuated by frequent travel. A lover of books, music and cruising, obsessive quilter and self-described pedant.
